There are many complicated issues in the business aviation today. Beyond the internal pressures to comply with corporate business process and quality certifications, you also are being bombarded with requirements for Safety Management Systems (SMS), Advance Passenger Information System (APIS), Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast (ADS-B), Large Aircraft Security Program (LASP), and Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS).
The goal of this blog is to simplify the complicated processes associated with SMS. This will be accomplished by means of short, targeted articles on important SMS topics.
My name is Jeff Whitman. I am the owner of Air Safety Group, LLC, which is a consulting company specializing in helping business aircraft operators establish, document, and track safety management systems and safety assurance programs.
My biography will tell you more about me, but in general, I have been in business aviation for nearly 30 years.
